May ICC Goodies

For the month of May, I received a goody bag of five pigments and two lip products from the stupendous Honey of I-Candy Couture.  You can check her out at: facebook (https://www.facebook.com/icandycouture), follow her on twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/honeygirlk), subscribe to her on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/icandycoutureICC), and check out the store (http://www.i-candycouture.com/)- don't forget to mention that Rae sent you when you visit.
The five pigments I received were: Lollipop Lovin', Cotton Candy Cutie, Hawaii Maiden, Mermaid Serenade, and Trax.  The two lip products were: Marilyn and Cherry Truffle.
I absolutely LOVE all of the pigments and was most surprised with Lollipop Lovin', the second matte pigment available (the first was New Moon of the Twilight Saga Collection).  The appearance of this lavender purple in its container does not do it any justice.  The pigmentation when applied is AMAZING!! So far, its favorite color to apply in the crease.  when you layer a darker color over it and blend, that tinge of purple just visible behind the deeper color just makes the look absolutely beautiful.

Here are swatches of the pigments.  The photo on the left is with flash and the photo on the right is without flash.  The are (from left to right, starting with the top row): Hawaii Maiden, Cotton Candy Cutie, Mermaid Serenade, Trax, and Lollipop Lovin'.
I can't rave enough about how amazing the colors are!  For a more detailed description watch my YouTube video (on the right, or click here).  Hawaii Maiden is from the Aloha Kitty Collection which was inspired by the ever popular Hello Kitty and Trax is part of the Urban Kitty Collection also inspired by the 'other' side of Hello Kitty.  Cotton Candy Cutie and Lollipop Lovin' are part of Spring Collection, and Mermaid Serenade is part of the A Child At Heart Collection inspired by popular Disney Movies.

So you'll probably wondering how all these amazing colors came together in one look right? Well, here's what I came up with...
I was really happy with my little creation and can't wait to use these beauties in future looks and on clients.

The Belle of the Reunion

This isn't the first time I've done another persons makeup but, it's the first time where I looked at it from a professionals point of view.  My girlfriend had asked me almost a month ago if I would be able to do her makeup for her 10 year class reunion and of course I said yes.  I mean, she's such a sweetheart I couldn't say 'no'.

After accepting the task at hand I went about and asked my usual questions:
    1.  What are you wearing?
    2.  How is your hair going to be?
    3.  What type of look are you going for?

Then it hit me: I've never done makeup for a class reunion.  I've never even been to a class reunion...I'm only 25 years old so mines hasn't come around yet.  I thought to myself what's the point of a reunion?  To look better than you did in highschool? To look as if you haven't aged a day since then?  I finally came to the conclusion that it's a combination of the two.

Here's a picture of what she looked like without makeup on.  I think she's absolutely gorgeous without the makeup!

Beautiful right!  Here's the after photos:

I don't think she looks like it's been 10 years since high school.  For the look I used mainly I-Candy Couture products: Hawaii Maiden, Trax, Lollipop Lovin', and Desire.  This was a great experience and I'm not only proud and happy with the final results but, that she really liked it.Thanks sweety!  Wanna get your hands on some of the products I used?  Head on over to www.i-candycouture.com (click here).  Don't forget to mention that Rae sent you at checkout!

New Hello Kitty Collections

This past Friday (04/13/1987) was not only my 25th birthday but the launch party for the release of ICC's newest Hello Kitty Collections that were broken into two sets: Miss Aloha Hello Kitty and the Urban Hello Kitty Collections.  It sort of if Hello Kitty vacationed in Hawaii and if she had an alter ego.  Regardless, both collections are absolutely beautiful and have proven to be a hot item.

Aren't these collections just absolutely beautiful?!?!  Honey's been working hard to constantly come out with original and one of a kind cosmetics and accessories and the birth of these collections are proof of her talent and hard work.  All of the mineral pigments in these two collections are only available at I-Candy Couture because they are handmade by Honey and come with lots of aloha all the way from Hawaii!!

Here's a closer look at each collection starting with the Miss Urban Kitty Collection:

And here's the Miss Aloha Kitty Collection:

I can't say enough how beautiful these colors are!  These are must haves in everyones makeup kit so, head on over to http://www.i-candycouture.com/ and pick up all of your cosmetics and accessories!!! Don't forget to mention that I sent you!

March ICC Goodie Mail

This is a little late, but here's my official goodie haul for my first I-Candy Couture Beauties promo package from March.  All the products that Honey sent me are absolutely beautiful, extremely pigmented, and a definite must-have to everyone's collection!  The lip gloss is called Cocoa-Nut and is the perfect neutral, almost nude brown with a hint of glitter.  The formulation of all the glosses that Honey makes are simply brilliant because they are not only long wearing but extremely moisturizing.  A little really goes a long way.

These three pigments are from the 'Child At Heart' collection: Kitty (a beautiful almost turquoise blue inspired by the Disney movie Monsters Inc.), Puppy Love (a gorgeous sort of grungy dark gray inspired by the Disney movie Lady and the Tramp), and Only in my Dreams (a breathtakingly pigmented pink inspired by the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty).

The next two pigments are also from the same 'A Child At Heart' Disney inspired collection: Happy Thoughts (a chameleon pigment that appears white but when worn actually has light green/lime undertones to it inspired by the Disney movie Peter Pan & Tinker Bell) and 'Ohana means...Family! (a beautiful royal blue with slight shimmer inspired by the Disney movie Lilo & Stitch).

All of the pigments and the lip gloss in my first ever Beauties promo package are simply perfect!  If you haven't checked out this top selling collection yet then you are undoubtedly missing out on something truly special!  Don't worry though and take a deep breath.  It'll be ok.  Head on over to http://www.i-candycouture.com/ and pick up all your cosmetic and accessory goodies!!

My Secret Garden of Sweets

Just when you thought things couldn't get any better, I-Candy Couture has just released a new collection of pigments made ONLY in Hawaii: the My Secret Garden of Sweets Collection.

This collection was inspired by the beautiful, soft, bright yet pastel colors of spring as well as Honey's favorite book, "The Secret Garden" and a scene from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (of course, the scene when they're in the forest of sweets).  Each shade is named to reflect a favorite sweet:

Like all the other collections and pigments Honey's handcrafted, these are AMAZING!! And a definite must-have addition to everyone's makeup kit/collection.  They're available on the site here at $28 for the full size 5 gram set, $18 for the 3 gram set, $6 for the sample set, $5 for a full size 5 gram individual pigment, or $1 for each individual sample pigment.  Oh, and I forgot to mention that 'lollipop lovin' is our FIRST MATTE PIGMENT!!!

Head on over to http://www.i-candycouture.com/ and pick up your spring inspired set while they're still in stock!

Goodies galore!

Aloha everyone!  I know I've been gone for a while now but all I can say is that life happens and I'm back.  There's been so much positive progress and new products at I-Candy Couture as well as the recent launch of our weekly newsletter that shares valuable beauty tips, updates with the company, and AMAZING deals on products (both cosmetic and jewelry).  Needless to say the ICC Candy Bits Newsletter is something to keep an eye out and sign up to receive a notification in your email.  It really is that easy to get a heads up on life changing deals.

There has been such an amazing product increase and addition to our store front that you definitely need to visit us here and take a stroll around to see all the beautiful products available for purchase.

The most recent addition to our cosmetics line is the 'A Child At Heart' collection which was inspired by a few classic and favorite Disney movies of both Honey herself as well as the ICC Hunnies.

A Child at Heart Collection

With names like 'Puppy love' inspired by Lady and the Tramp you can't help but fall in love with not only the colors but, their respective names.  These are the perfect addition to anyone's makeup collection and the perfect way to maybe snag your own prince charming.  Here's a closer look at each of the colors in the collection:

Aren't they all just so beautiful!  Haven't converted to loose pigments yet you say?  Well that's ok (and we hope to soon change your mind with our beautiful handmade, mineral pigments- like those pictured above- coming straight from the state of Hawaii and made with lots of aloha) because ICC now offers pressed shadows in a multitude of different colors (not handmade but brought in from a third-party manufacturer) in two different collections: Behind closed doors collection and the Seven deadly sins collection.  With so many different colors to choose from the only problem you'll run into is a place to keep all your new treasures!

But, that's not all...you can also pre-order larger palettes, pick up an amazing eye candy fix to keep your shadow in place longer, glitter, glitter adhesive, and even empty magnetic palettes to put all your pans in (all provided by a third-party and not handmade in Hawaii).  You could even sign up for our eye shadow of the month club and it'll be like Christmas every month with a surprise I-Candy coming straight to your mailbox!

So what are you waiting for?  Head on over to http://www.i-candycouture.com and pick up all your goodies galore!  But move quickly because products are flying out the doors!  Oh, and don't forget to mention that I sent you!  Have a beautiful I-Candy filled day lovelies!
